Leave it up to a Brother to Make you Feel Better

The past few weeks have been really intense. For a few days I felt like a sad zombie and all I did was float through the hours and wait for things to improve. Then, I invited someone over to hang out and everything started feeling better. I have a ton of friends, but no one can make me laugh like my little brothers can! My brother can find the funniest stuff online, somehow, and we stay up late just talking and laughing at youtube videos on xbox live. I'm gonna share some of them with you, in case you need a little pick-me-up, too :)

Think you know a lot about octopuses? I bet you could learn a few more things... lol. (contains adult language). Don't shake his hand; just don't.

If I could dance like this, I wouldn't have to count calories. This has to be one heck of a workout. I don't have the coordination to ever know how to do this; I have the balance of an egg. It's like his feet aren't even part of his body!

Life wouldn't be complete without a few memes, would it? Here's some of the funniest cat memes ever!

I'm so thankful for my brothers; they have a way of making me laugh every time we see each other. If it wasn't for my brother B, I would be so far behind on worldly happenings; he knows all of the latest political news and explains it to me in a way that's informative and memorable. My brother M teaches me all about how things work; he actually learned how to drive a manual engine (straight drive) car from YouTube videos! No joke!

Who makes you feel better when you're having a hard day?

Divide and Conquer?

When I first started this blog, it was with the intention of it being a personal blog filled with anonymous posts about life and poetry and so on. I had plans for it to play out like a book or journal. Over the course of the first year, it took a turn into a lifestyle blog with posts about food, makeup, linky posts and so on--which I enjoy and chose to do. But, now, I'm constantly drafting personal posts by the dozen with no idea where to put them. I can't decide if I should just stop putting lifestyle posts on my personal blog (this one) or if I should just start another blog and let it be where all of my personal posts go. It's hard to find the balance in the blog world. If you write personal posts on your lifestyle blog, then it becomes complicated and hard to follow-- it's hard to hold a lot of different audiences. I've worked so hard on this blog to build an audience and create a web site that belongs to me, but I just feel like I need a second one to separate the posts, because then I can hold an audience for my personal posts--with people who share my feelings/experiences--and hold an audience for my light-hearted posts about recipes, makeup and products {influenster and all of those posts}. These days, I'm drafting way more than I'm publishing, because I can't find the safe zone where things belong--where I feel like I'm building what I want to build. I'm thinking that maybe I should just go back to the original plan on this blog and let people who aren't interested in my personal life drop off of my following and build a new following. I feel that the people who like my lifestyle posts will find me over there on the new blog. If you're familiar with blogging, you know the problem is that all of my social media and affiliations (memberships) are linked to this blog. I wish I would have noticed what was happening and changed it a long time ago. I've been thinking about this for months and can't figure out what to do about it. How to move my entire "brand" and memberships to a new blog and revert this one to a personal blog? I know it would be easier to just start a new personal blog, but the name of this one plays a big part in what I'm wanting to blog about. Also, the new" brand" blog would have no numbers or followers.  I've thought of a few ways to do it, but I just don't know... I'm so torn.

So, that's what's on my mind this morning. That being said, I'm off to draft some more personal posts for the time being.

Happy Rainy Wednesday, Everyone.

I'm Moving to WordPress

I started out over there and moved to blogger {because, I thought it was easier to use}, but I've decided that I want to move to self-hosted and WordPress, too. This is one of those things that you go back and forth with a lot... to WordPress or not to WordPress? At the end of the day, I really am excited about the new beginning, new communities, new everything {even though I'll lose my 70,000+ view count... not that we actually watch that number, everyday, right?}; it's now or never, I think.  This will probably take some time to get everything ready and move it over there. I have a few big posts that I'm drafting, so I'll wait until those are published, too :) So, that's what's been on my mind.

Why I'm telling you~* Since, I won't be on GFC, anymore, make sure to follow me on Bloglovin, ok. :) I'll follow you back, so we can keep in touch. ♥ You could also/instead follow by email.

Hope you have a wonderful day. TGIF!!

Say What?!: Funny Spam Comment I Received

I'm going to start a new series called, Say What?! that's dedicated to the weird spam comments or strange tweets I receive. I'll even add in random Say What?! from wherever it finds me :) Feel free to add your own!

Today's Say What?!

I got this comment in my Spam folder. It actually makes sense, if you think about it, which is why I kept it. I'll stop deleting the funny ones, because they should be shared :)

Tutorial: How to add Shareaholic to Your Blog.

After writing your amazing posts,

you need to make sure that people can share them,

but how do you do this?

Simple, my friends!

You add Shareaholic to your blog posts!

But, how?

Like this...

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS...
(as I always say)

Step 1

Watched any Good Videos, Lately?

I've been really consumed by all of my writing assignments, lately, so I've gotten really far behind on my favorite YouTubers' videos. I'm taking time out this week just to watch some "favorites/how-to" beauty videos & read some of my bloggy friends' posts. Oh, and enter giveaways! Gotta love those, right!?

I'm definitely gonna hit up some blog hops through the weekend & cannot wait to meet some more people! I'm really loving how many awesome people I've met through blogging! I've made some genuine friends & learned so much this year.

I might do YouTube videos, one day. Right now, though, I don't think I have a tough enough shell for it. People over there are kinda mean for no reason, so I'm not sure if I wanna get into that world. I love, love, love watching YT videos, though!!

Recommendation: BentleyBlonde
I've been watching BentleyBlonde's videos since she only had a few hundred subscribers--that's for real. I knew she'd be as popular as she is, now, because she's an amazing person. I love listening to her talk lol. If you've never watched any of her videos you really should! She's so smart and funny! Of course, she has a great sense of style, too. She also has a very big heart. Oh, and her real name is Wendy. So, there's one of my favorites that I'm sharing with you.

My Favorite Video of hers (besides the "crap" ones)

I think I might start a regular thing of listing YouTube people on here, because they really are incredible & we might take for granted that we all watch the same videos, but we probably don't. I'm gonna work this into my blog, somehow, soon.

Hope y'all are having a great night!
xx

This or That Make-up Tag

I love tags! They're some of the most fun posts, I think. I first started loving these back when we used MySpace lol. Time to find some of those old tags and start using them with my bloggy neighbors :)

cosmetics,face powder,households,makeup,Photographs

Thank you mattabellax3 for tagging me in this "This or That Make-upTag!"

Let's playyyy

That's Blogging Music, Right There!

I always listen to music when I'm writing. Music speeds me up, keeps me going and works the creative part of my mind. They should play music in schools--I bet grades would go up.

So, this some of what I'm listening to today while I'm writing.
