I might become a professional fish walker.

My jam today

Well, it's been an interesting week. I found a soaking wet bird in the field and it was hopping all around, but couldn't fly. I took it home and wrapped it up in a towel to help it dry off. I had to finish getting ready for an appointment, so I decided to try out "bird wearing" so I could get my makeup done while the bird relaxed~it worked! After I got my face and hair done, I took the little bird outside and it flew out of my hands to the trees. It was such a nice bird, too--it never tried to peck me--I think we had a spiritual connection ;) lol. Stuff like this makes me happy. I'm such a Earth-loving, bird-hugging person. I'm glad I got the chance to do this for such a sweetheart. I used to do stuff like this a lot when I was a child/teenager, because my grandma (Nanny) had bird nests all over her yard and the babies would fall out and need a little help~and there I was, right on time lol :)

Today, there was a humongous turtle crossing through a busy parking lot in the rain. People came out to help it along and make sure it didn't get hurt. I wish I would have seen it, because I was in the same parking lot shortly before photo was shared. He was there, I was there, but we missed each other. I'm glad he's ok.

I'm looking for more side work to do since it's hard to make it on just my day job. While I was looking at job listings, I found this gem! "Family needs someone to walk 4 fish and 1 dog." ha! How interesting would that walk be?! Tiffany, professional fish walker. I take tanks on tours.

What have you been up to lately?

xoxo

Leave it up to a Brother to Make you Feel Better

The past few weeks have been really intense. For a few days I felt like a sad zombie and all I did was float through the hours and wait for things to improve. Then, I invited someone over to hang out and everything started feeling better. I have a ton of friends, but no one can make me laugh like my little brothers can! My brother can find the funniest stuff online, somehow, and we stay up late just talking and laughing at youtube videos on xbox live. I'm gonna share some of them with you, in case you need a little pick-me-up, too :)

Think you know a lot about octopuses? I bet you could learn a few more things... lol. (contains adult language). Don't shake his hand; just don't.

If I could dance like this, I wouldn't have to count calories. This has to be one heck of a workout. I don't have the coordination to ever know how to do this; I have the balance of an egg. It's like his feet aren't even part of his body!

Life wouldn't be complete without a few memes, would it? Here's some of the funniest cat memes ever!

I'm so thankful for my brothers; they have a way of making me laugh every time we see each other. If it wasn't for my brother B, I would be so far behind on worldly happenings; he knows all of the latest political news and explains it to me in a way that's informative and memorable. My brother M teaches me all about how things work; he actually learned how to drive a manual engine (straight drive) car from YouTube videos! No joke!

Who makes you feel better when you're having a hard day?

The New Year Resolutions Post

(this is published late. notice that I did not mention anything about improving my procrastination this year... I've pretty much mastered it--why make all of the practice-procrastination be in vain, right? Read on, good person.)

Welcome to the last day of the year, everyone! It's bittersweet, because I'm a little happy to see a New Year with new opportunities on the horizon, but at the same time, I'm a little sad to see everyone turn one year older and for everything that just happened to become a new memory for the photo album. Do you get nostalgic on New Year's Eve/Day, too?

Over the weekend, I took a moment to throw myself across my bed with a flowery notebook and a colored pen and jot down some hopes, dreams, plans for this year. The best thoughts can be put into words with notebooks and colored pens, I think; it's always worked for me.

My New Year Plan

>>Get healthier and fitter.
I've said this before, and I've made some great gains on it (pun?) by eating healthier and replacing a lot of my mainstream stuff with natural/organic/toxin-free options. This time, though, I mean I want to lose weight, get toned and be able increase my cardiovascular blah blahs. Word it however you want, I want to be able to run up a few flights of stairs without having to stop and breathe "check out the view" from each flight.

>>Eat Cleaner.
I love cooking and I'm about to show you exactly how much this year! My menus will include juicing, for sure. I'm starting my big juice cleanse tomorrow (Friday, January 3rd!). Follow along as I tell you all about it and you can see if it's for you. I've never done this before, either :)

>>Organize my life, bills and everything else around me.
This is code for I'm about to throw a lot of shhhht away. I'm redoing my files and putting everyone who comes in this house to work shredding all of the junk mail that I have stored in containers (yeah, really, how annoying is that). Redoing the way I keep everything--linens, cabinet contents, the whole nine. You, too?

>>Spend Less, Save More.
I'm not going to sit home and hoard coins like a fat cat with a new toy, but I'm definitely planning to spend less money this year on the little things that add up too quickly (disposable stuff, fast food etc).

Random Randomness

Instead of writing something "important," I thought I'd write some random stuff about my life and me. Then you can tell me some random stuff about your life and you, if you want to :)

The light-hearted
  1. I'm basically the only person who doesn't really eat eggs and omelettes, I think.
  2. I have the ability to trip over nothing and run into everything. Socially awkward 101. Sometimes, I say really weird stuff that even I don't understand. Recently, I said, "Today goes by fast, doesn't it?" lol. huh? She was like, "It sure does!" haha.
  3. When a drive-thru speaker is loud, I start laughing way too much. It's just so funny that a pole is yelling at me in the middle of a parking lot.
  4. My cat likes to race me head-on down the driveway when I come home, but I really don't think she could take on the car. Sometimes, I have to park far away from the house and walk home because of her freaking love and stupidity. THANKS A LOT OLIVIA!! It's good for my fitness, though, right :)
  5. I like to act out songs when I'm alone, especially if I'm on the indoor bike thing. It makes me ride (drive?) the bike longer.  Do you act out/dramatize songs, too?

It's Ok... to love Johnny Cash, Microwaved Food and Burritos.

Why I'm Ok

It's ok... that I haven't been cooking much lately, because I can't stand the thought of turning on the fire-breathing dragon {my stove}. Thankfully, I'm a toaster oven maestro and a microwave master :) I have this potholder hanging over my microwave {#igotitatRoss}

It's ok... to put all of the salsas on your burrito bowl {Qdoba's} because the salsas are FREE! Oh, and they're healthy, too, so that's a double-dare for ya~ c'mon, do it!

It's ok... to use diplomacy. Especially, when you're doing the right thing.

Its ok... that my little one made me think the car was breaking down (spark plugs? running out of gas?)... but really, he was just rocking out to Johnny Cash in the back seat :) lol.

He loves music. He asked for the "bump bump" cd and that's his Jam~ I'll end this post with a song from Noah xoxo

Johnny Cash~ Teenage Queen

This is the "bump bump, bump bump" song that Noah likes so much :) <3

What are you ok with this month, week, today?

That's my little "Its Ok" post for August! I'm linking up with my good friend Kera over at Nugget on a Budget. This is open to anyone that wants to play along, so link up and let's play!

Nugget On A Budget

Love,

Five Among Friends. Week 8.

These 5 among friends posts will be discontinued on Daydreaming Realist

This is a "getting to know you" kinda post :)
It's part of a "friends-only" link up, but I did it anyway ;)
(because, I didn't know it was friends-only until this week)

Five Among Friends

The questions change each week. This week's questions are brought to you by: Kate from Just Pirouette and Carry On.

1. If you were going to start you own company, what would it be?
I'm thinking a blog... :) I'd love to write books and have them published. I'd also love to create nonprofits to raise money for local children in need (low-income, with special circumstances etc)--it would be a very kind, active organization that encourages friendship and teamwork within the community/county. I'd also like to make one like that for pets (to help their owners out/find pet-friendly homes for them).

2. Who is the craziest person in your life?
YOU! :D

unrelated humor

3. What would the title of your autobiography be? Explain why....?
How about "Daydreaming Realist." :)  I was describing myself in phrases for a little biography thing and that's how I came up with "daydreaming realist"-- So, yeah, that would be it and it would tell about the things I've done, didn't do, and crazy scenarios of how I could have done it differently (the funny part of the book, I think).

Five Among Friends~Fav Holiday, Kindergarten and More.

This is a "getting to know you" kinda post :)
It's part of a "friends-only" link up, but I did it anyway ;)
(I just found out in August that this is friends-only.)

This week's questions are brought to you by: Jay from Crafty Spices.

1. What is your favorite holiday and why

Currently {Link Up}. Imagining, Asking...

This Week's Theme Words:

COVETING, Imagining, Asking, Saving/Saving for, Fearing Enjoying

Imagining: Noah's first day of school {and all the days to follow}. I cannot believe my baby boy will be in kindergarten this year! I'm so excited and so afraid. I'm so proud and feeling so nostalgic. I really hope he loves his teacher and classroom and has a wonderful time with the other children.

Currently~entertaining, holding, building, smiling, frowning

C'mon! Let's play!
Join in on another fun week of "Currently" posts
and tell everyone what you're up to, friends :)

I'm Currently...

(entertaining, holding, building, smiling, frowning)

  • entertaining...
    • myself with youtube videos about beauty hauls, monthly favorites and guitar song tutorials.
    • Noah with educational apps, workbooks and hands-on fun {like digging in the dirt}
    • the dogs with frisbees and letting them bark at the school bus {remember this post.}
  • holding...
    • on to the last few months of "baby time" before my little guy officially starts school.
    • hands with my sweet Noah as we walk around stores & run errands.
  • frowning...
    • because of the anxiety building over the severe storms headed this way. I'm terrified of tornadoes. I'm so lucky to have a friend {online, but local} who messages back/forth with me during storms and we watch radars together and stuff. I love her for this. She's as scared as I am and that's comforting.
  • building...
    • dreams of the future by putting things in motion {painting, planning, working out}.
    • my blog(s), flower beds and my confidence in making a living freelancing.
  • smiling...
    • all the time, because I have so much to be thankful for. I know this, because I've lost a lot, done without a lot and I've had to rebuild more than once. There are so many people out there that have much less than I have and they are happy. I'm happy, too. I'm happy for being blessed with Noah and for my silly dogs that make me laugh.
    • I'm smiling, because I see a lot of smiles shining on me. Thank you smiley faces.
    • because, it's Spring and the {nonstormy} weather is intoxicating! Every day feels like paradise--breezes, 70 degrees, and blue skies.

Noah's Currently...

Currently~Drinking, Buying, Driving, Missing, Obsessing.

I'm linking up for the ever-so-fun "Currently" posts.
These posts are a fun way to tell everyone what you're currently up to, this week :)
C'mon! Let's play!

Themes: Drinking, Buying, Driving, Missing, Obsessing

(what' I'm up to)

Drinking:// Water. Like a fish... except, I don't swim in that which I drink. Gross, fish :/

Missing:// {not going the sentimental route}. Those Taco Bell Margaritas they had the other year! Man, those things were SO good. I could buy a jug of it... and drink it...

Buying:// Buying mulch and peat moss to put outside, because the ground is this orange clay crap marvel that turns into slippery mud and then bakes into a coffin for your plants. For real, you have to mix something into the soil or it will just lock down on your plants. In the clay, you don't plant flowers, you bury them. #truth.

Driving:// Basically, never. Gasoline costs so much now-a-days {what's my age?}. I drive slow. Keep the bill low... $low--low. {I've always driven slow, though}

Obsessing:// Over this new Pepperidge Farm Wheat/White swirly bread and peanut butter! I don't even eat peanut butter! I, mean, I do, but not regularly. This is good stuff. The bread~ oh, my, Goodness! You gotta have some of this!

Noah's Currently:

Drinking: Tea and iced water.
