Inspired by San Francisco's neighborhoods... and created just for YOU! This month, ipsy's Glam Bag was created by one of our favorite local artists.Oh, cool. I'm a bit of a hippie at heart, so I'm pretty happy about this special-edition bag. I have this extra-beautiful, handmade necklace that came from the Haight-Ashbury area {wish I knew the name/who made it} and I love it to the moon and back; a super-cool boyfriend gave it to me when we were dating. March glam bag, I like you. I have a thing for hand-designed stuff and art.
If you're not feeling this design, be sure to share it with someone else. Other subs don't give bags each month, so it's really a bonus item ;)
MARCH GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #4:
Grab some inspiration, and plan a destination, with one of the Polaroid-perfect products this month!
With the travel theme, we must have travel-size products for our "vacay", right? Well, here's three more either/or products for the March 2014 glam bag!
- There's Klorane eye patches (masks)--Klorane is a brand I've used (eye makeup remover) and I like that it's a natural, cruelty-free brand.
- Possibly the new Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer. Pixi is also a cruelty-free brand.
- Vita Liberata is a brand new to me; it's a tanning product.
- The last item is by Pacifica--which I totally love--it's Indian Coconut Nectar body butter. Pacifica is also a cruelty-free, natural product brand that's available at Target and other places.
MARCH GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #3:
Where the nail polish ocean meets the cream-covered sand, you'll be playing with one of these awesome products in your Glam Bag this month!
{I'm running out the door, so this will be quick and simple.}
This is an either/or product. I'm guessing that it's Nicole by OPI, Chella something, and M Perfect Cover BB Cream. The Missha brand of BB cream is very popular, but I've never had the chance to experience it before. I'd love to try this. That nail color, though... gorgeous! I'm a fan of anything Chella, so I'm happy to see it possibly included. I did this really quickly~hoping I got them right. Feel free to leave kind comments below.
I didn't see anything from Chella in that shade, so I'm thinking that maybe a filter was used in the sneak peek photo above. Can't wait to see what all of you discover while I'm out today. Happy Wednesday! xo
MARCH GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #2:
A picture-perfect view deserves a picture perfect palette. One of these will be yours!
Barcelona
Madrid
New York City
Bora Bora
I'm hoping for the Bora Bora palette because it has two neutrals (one darker than the other for contouring), a beautiful blue accent color (great to use as an eyeliner), and another accent color (Rock Bottom). I also like the Madrid quad, a lot; it has a few of the same colors in it as the Bora Bora quad. Which one are you hoping for? Barcelona, Madrid, New York city, Bora Bora? Do you ever use your eyeshadow as a bronzer or cheek color? I know I do that all the time.
Also, (I nearly overlooked this one!) there's a NYX Love in Rio eye shadow palette in this photo! Colors may vary. What's cool about this, is NYX is now being offered at many CVS locations (not sure if it will be in all, or not) and if you like the product, you can get morrrre! NYX is also a cruelty-free brand.

Travel tips and travel lips! Now is the time to start planning a trip to your dream destination with one of these amazing products.
bareMinerals lip color from the Double Trouble set, perhaps? And Kim Perry Turnowicz (facebook) called this before I even pulled up the Bare Escentuals site~ thanks, girl! This is an either/or item, meaning you will get one of these lip products, not both ;)
"A Marvelous Moxie™ Lipstick and Lipgloss duo for fabulously fuller-looking lips."
This is one of my favorite brands for lip products-- I love their glosses, lipsticks and variety of colors. bareMinerals is a cruelty-free brand.
See you here tomorrow for hint #2! Happy Monday!

This looks so yummyyyyy. I love how creative you got here. I am usually battling with Toodie in the morning when it comes to Breakfast. She tends to get bored really quickly and then refuses to eat what I make her. Right now she is stuck on Toaster Streusels. It's been about a month now and that's ALL she asks for. I think she would love something like this because it has the sweetness and flakiness that she likes! Anything with Nutella is delicious in my book, I eat it by the spoonful! ( no shame in my gammmeeee) haha :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, girl, it really, truly is yummy! Same here with the little one ♥. Toodie and I could be buds, because I eat those for breakfast a lot, too lol. I also go for muffins and other pastry-like stuff. That being said, I really love how warm this is and the inside is so delicious and filling. I hope y'all get a chance to try this out~it's quick to make, I promise ♥ btw, I'm in the Nutella Club with youuuu! no shame to my game, eitherrrr. See that spoon up there... it wasn't just a prop lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like another awesome bag this month! Too bad they don't include a little extra for your join anniversary date or birthday or even both. If so, I'd be a lucky girl since mine are both the same month. lol
ReplyDeleteIt does and I'm loving this travel/adventure theme, too :) And, girl, that's a great idea! They should totally do that! Ooooh, or give you credit to use towards getting something from the bonus/referral shop thingy would be cool, too! There's so many things I've wanted to try that I didn't get, I'd love to see a "shop" full of stuff that we could spend points on to "buy" things from past glam bags. We're on to something here lol. I like the way you think, Angela! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, these look delicious! I've got to try your recipe.
ReplyDeleteAngel
Thank you~They really are delicious! It's a fabulous addition to the breakfast menu here ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I am always trying to figure out what the ipsy products are from the sneak peeks, but I don't know a lot about makeup brands so I can never tell! This is so helpful, and makes me a million times more excited for my ipsy bag this month!! :D THANK YOOU!
ReplyDeleteThank youuu :D for reading and commenting on my post! Its so fun to guess at the products each month with everyone! :) This bag is looking pretty awesome~I can't wait to see the bag design!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely~I wish they gave points for writing reviews on the site/taking the little surveys :) I just now earned enough points for a bonus lol. Finallyyyy! mwahaha.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout out. I'm so excited for this glam bag. I can't wait to see what is in it for me this month :)
ReplyDeletenp :) I'm excited, too! If everyone is getting an eye shadow quad, that's already a great deal for the $10 ~not to mention all of the other great brands/products that are included! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you again for a great preview. I honestly have been wondering if my fascination for samples/subs is worth it (especially since I was on the fence w/ the Feb glam bag) ... and then I remembered to check out your pre/reviews. I'm honestly looking forward to March's now. <3
ReplyDeleteSo happy to read this! I've wondered the same thing many times (and I've let some subs go), but Ipsy really does give you a lot of value for your money through product size and variety. If you only wanted to sub for a few months, Ipsy would leave you with the most stuff to try out and build up your "beauty stash." :) I'm looking forward to this bag, too, especially since it's coming with an eye shadow palette/quad right off the bat~gotta like at least one of the colors, right? I'm so glad you came back to my blog and read my new post! I'm here every month (day) lol ♥
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that's an awesome idea too! It can take awhile for some of us to earn the number of points they're requiring to get bonus items and since we try so hard, we should be rewarded in some little way, at least. :)
ReplyDeleteI got the Bora Bora quad. I love the colors in it and the quad itself is so soft and buttery. That more than paid for the bag this month for sure. The Nicole polish, Pixi primer and Bare Escentuals sample were just extras lol.
ReplyDeleteI love ipsy!! For the March 2014 Glam Bag I received the bareminerals lipstick, the bora bora eyeshadow quad, the chella blue eye liner, and the vita liberata luxury tan. I absolutely love getting new makeup every month! The website itself is a lot of fun, and so is following ipsy on Facebook, there is a strong sense of community with other women that are also interested in makeup.
ReplyDeleteJoin me on ipsy and subscribe to the Glam Bag! You get 4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door, for just $10. Check it out here: http://www.ipsy.com/r/73vu
New to ipsy....can you plz explain the either/or product? To my understanding from your post above....IPSY does sneak peaks and these are the either/or products? is that correct? Thnx
ReplyDeleteHi, Cora! Ipsy releases sneak peek photos on facebook each month. You can't exactly see what the product is, so you have to guess at it. I blog about it and post what I *think* it could be and people on facebook etc do the same thing. It's a fun game :) There's usually 3-5 sneak peeks and Ipsy will tell if it's a product everyone is receiving or if it's an either/or. The either/or products are usually a photo of several items and you'll get one of them. Make sure to fill out your beauty quiz on their site to make your bag more personal for your taste. You can update your quiz choices anytime you want to and it should affect future bags (not the one for that month).
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to the April bag post I wrote. In Sneak Peek 1, it shows that item is something everyone is getting. Just so you can see the difference in the photos. http://www.daydreamingrealist.com/2014/04/ipsy-april-2014-sneak-peeks.html
Anytime! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Oh my gosh super helpful information! Thank you!!! I will be back to your site :)
