Five Among Friends~Fav Holiday, Kindergarten and More.

This is a "getting to know you" kinda post :)
It's part of a "friends-only" link up, but I did it anyway ;)
(I just found out in August that this is friends-only.)

This week's questions are brought to you by: Jay from Crafty Spices.

1. What is your favorite holiday and why

Christmas is a beautiful holiday--both literally and figuratively. I love Christmastime all the way up to the unexciting weeks after. I really enjoy the stores being filled with Christmas decorations, tons of toys, Christmas music and Christmas baking supplies. I love the scent of the candles, cards and books that Noah reads with us. I love watching Christmas movies with my family and telling old stories about people we love and remembering loved ones. I love the feeling of love and generosity all around. It's SO much fun to wrap gifts from Santa and wake up on Christmas morning {as a parent} to see everyone off of work and all together for gifts, breakfast and photos. I also love the Christmas music playing on the radio and the Christmas cartoons on tv. My little boy and my dogs love Christmastime! :)

The hectic day of Christmas Eve and gatherings with people I don't see often (or don't even know) is very stressful, though... that's why Labor Day is my favorite holiday. ... it doesn't make me nostalgic or anxious. Cheers to Labor Day.

2. Do you have a special or favorite cartoon or cartoon character

I like the Flintstones, Animaniacs, old Donald Duck cartoons, and Phineas and Ferb. For real, though, my favorite cartoons are movies and we'll let that count. My favorite "cartoons" are Cinderella (gus gus, ahhh hahaha), Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Groove and Tangled.

3. What was--or might be-- your reaction on the first day of school for your first born

This will be happening in five weeks and I'm completely worried sick about it. I can't believe my itsy bitsy baby will be going to kindergarten! I'm sure we'll have fun picking out his backpack this summer {will it be Sonic or Angry Birds?} and buying his tiny little clothes and new shoes... but, I'll probably be peeping in the window, because all-day kindergarten is just too much for this mama's heart to handle. Guess, I'll be reading the Llama Llama Misses Mama book a lot {to myself}. ;)

4. What’s your preference: Swimming pool or beach and why

Beach pool! I vote for putting waves and sand in a gigantic pool with no sharks or creepy creatures, and then putting that near my house! I really love the beach... the smell, the sound, the air, the waves, the breeze, the everything about it. I only wish it was closer *sniff, tear*. Can't wait to get a Beach Pool* installed... now accepting donations, friends :)

5. How do you schedule your blog post and do you use any type of system

haaaaha... um, no. I just post at random. I have SO many drafts! I have notebooks FULL of ideas, but I don't have time to actually compose the posts, so there's nothing to schedule, right this minute. When my little honey bunny starts Kindergarten next month, I bet I'll be blogging lots... I may even be starting a full-time second blog :)

*Beach Pools aren't real, yet; it's totally my fantasy-idea.

Hello lovely lady! I love the new blog layout :) So purdy. I have been super busy lately with "real life" duties making it so hard to blog amongst other things. I can't believe your little man is going to Kindergarten soon! I know exactly how you feel. I remember the first day I put Toodie into day care two days a week just to socialize and make friends. I almost had a breakdown! I felt so bad leaving her there and must have watched through the tiny window for 20 minutes before I finally made myself leave. Now she is going full time and it still kills me to drop her off everyday! She thinks I am nuts but I am just being an over-emotional momma. It's definitely a HUGE step and just means he is growing up :) He's gonna love it. We are the ones that freak out more than they do!

  3. If the sand can stay outside of the pool, I'm in ;) You'll be fine for the first day of school. I say this, even as I dread my second going to preschool in a few weeks. I made it through the first, this is how I know you'll be fine. DON'T WEAR MASCARA, though. You'll regret that...

  4. I'd totally buy into the beach pool! You can almost get close to it by the pools at resorts that are right on the beach. I'd love to swim in one of them at night with no one else around...listening to the waves crashing on the sand :)

Someone as beautiful, smart and funny as you are must have something to say about this, right? ;) So, what do you think?
