Well, I told him that it's no big deal, because lots of dogs are doing it and nothing would change in his life. When I took him in there, a lady commented on how beautiful he was and wanted to know where I got him from {remember, he's a ShihPooHuaHua~limited edition}. Everyone thought he was SO sweet and SO cute... until I came to pick him up after the dun-dun-dun... operation.
The front desk woman said, "We're gonna need you to go get Ollie out of the crate, because everyone's scared of him." {lol. Really? My sweet Ollie?} When I got back to his crate, he was wild-eyed and backed in the corner. Apparently, he figured out what had happened and it wasn't cool with him. Poor guy. I scooped my emasculated baby up and took him home.
Back Home
He's been enjoying life and having a grand time~ same ol' G.
Everything was fine until....
He started getting yeast infections! In his arm pits! {ah hahahaha. ahem} I bought some Monistat for him and put it on them at night. I told him he's still the man around the house & that his "yeast pits" are totally not related to his surgery... he doesn't believe me...
The good news is that Monistat (or the generic brand) cream will clear it right up in seven days and he's back to normal. I even bought him a fancy, new shampoo to help keep it under control for him. NOTE: This dog loves the smell of flowers and pretty things. He hauls doggy-tail to the bathtub to get his clean on.
And he's living happily ever after :)
LOL! This is a great post! Made my day ;)

Who knew that doggies need Monistat too? Thanks for hooking up with us at the Humor Me Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI Googled it to see if it was safe and the rest is history--he has his own tube of it, now lol :D
ReplyDeletelol Glad you liked it! He's a silly boy. I like those pictures of them playing in the snow :) Thank you for visiting!
ReplyDeleteYay for adoption! I bet he's a cutie-pup, too!! What's his name? Gotta love dogs for the magic love spell they cast over us. I love my pups like family.
ReplyDeleteDog stories are some of my favorites. I enjoyed yours. We adopted our cockapoo from the SPCA when he was 6 months old and already neutered. He's now 8 and a very sweet boy. No yeast infections, but a 3 day vet hospital stay for what was diagnosed as "a dietary indiscretion".
