Publix | Flavor Excursion Sale and Coupons

The information and prize pack were provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

School has started back and life is ultra-busy, so I'm bringing out the slow cooker this week. Publix is having a Flavor Excursions Sale that includes products from Old El Paso, Hunt's, Ro*Tel and Kraft, so I'm definitely making my slow cooker Arroz con Pollo recipe. The Flavor Excursions Sale includes the perfect items for both Mexican and Italian meals.

Reasons I love the slow cooker: it uses less power than the stove, the dish is dishwasher-safe (I use slow cooker liners for easier clean up), and it cooks while I do other things. I, honestly, own six slow cookers lol. You can put everything in them--from entrees to desserts--making them really wonderful to have around the house.

Coupon Deal! Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits at Publix

Skipping breakfast is very dangerous... for those around you ;) so, don't do it. All you have to do is... grab a pack of Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits and you're good to go! In fact, here's a printable coupon for 50 cents off of a box of them. Let me sweeten the pot for you. Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits will be on sale at Publix for $1.99. Look for details in the Lucky Savings grocery story flyer available 3/1 – 3/21. Print your coupon out and take it down to Publix to get a great deal! They're available on the cookie aisle.

I'll tell you a poorly kept secret--I love Publix. Like, I love Publix so much that I go there even when I don't really need anything just because I like seeing what's new/on sale. They have the best selection of produce, groceries and the deli/bakery section is jam-up! I'm a Publix fangirl, for real. It's a nice surprise seeing new products on the shelf like the Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits.

Since I'm on the road a lot, I tend to eat either a) nothing for breakfast/lunch or b)coffee drinks for breakfast/lunch; this is why I love finding items that don't need to be prepared before eating it. I also love items that will fit in my purse so that I'll have it when the little guy gets hungry on our long drives/long days. All parents know how important it is to have emergency snacks in their bag.

The Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits come in Honey or Blueberry flavor and they're individually portioned, so you don't have to count them out to keep up with your calories. I love this because it's ready to be zapped by my fitness pal app and my day moves right along~breakfast in hand. I'm partial to the Honey flavor and I like how thin the biscuits are, which helps a lot when you have sensitive teeth. There's 26g of whole grain in each serving.

Do you dip your cookies/biscuits into your hot drinks? I've never really been a dipper, but I do love a hot drink with my breakfast. These Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits are really filling and I, honestly, usually save half for later. I don't even limit these to breakfast; I call them my "work biscuits," because that's where I take them :)
