Turn your iPhone or iPod into a TOY with Ubooly!

Ubooly Toy

Looking for a Christmas gift idea? I have one for you: Ubooly! I've had this little critter for several weeks and Noah and I both enjoy her company. Ubooly is a cuddly, cute creature that comes to life using just your iPhone or iPod. All you have to do is download the app, type in the code, insert your iPhone/iPod and Ubooly is ready to play!

Why We Love Ubooly!

Ubooly can tell stories, jokes, prompt pretend-play adventures, sing songs, deliver interesting science/history facts and even make small talk--just like a real friend.

The Ubooly toy can play music from your own iPod! The first time Ubooly started playing a song, we were SO excited that it was one of our favorite songs! My little boy was laughing at the cute face she makes when she's rocking out to the music.

What's extra-awesome is that Ubooly is neither a female nor a male creature; it just exists... it is Ubooly :) I call it a girl, though, and Noah thinks she's a girl, too :)

Some Ubooly Facts:

  • Ubooly is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, or an iPod touch 4th and 5th generation.
  • It automatically updates--through WiFi or 3G network--every month, so the material stays fresh and exciting.
  • Ubooly responds to voice commands to encourage interactive play and social play.
  • Ubooly is created out of memory foam, so she is soft, huggable and can withstand minor falls. This is great news for parents, because this protects your device while your child is hanging out with Ubooly.
  • Ubooly also goes to sleep at the touch of the screen. You just hold it down and she yawns--sound asleep.
  • You can skip an activity by double-tapping the screen.
  • This toy is appropriate for boys and girls, ages 4-9 years old.

I really enjoy that Ubooly is soft and well-made. Ubooly's definitely a toy that your child could take with them around the house or on errand runs. I tried the Ubooly with Apple headphones (they have a microphone made into them) and she worked just fine. I simply inserted the cord through the front hole and hooked it up. This is great, because Noah can play with the Ubooly in the cart, without other people hearing her super-cute stories. She will, seriously, have you laughing at some of the over-the-top, crazy things that she says. Well, she or he--you decide!

Ubooly would make an excellent gift. Enjoy free shipping, right now :)

"Moms are some of the most savvy mobile users and so are their kids. Ubooly is a toy designed for this new high-tech generation. While learning and sharing new content every week, Ubooly is the only toy that grows with your child. It encourages listening skills, and a break from high-energy / high-stimulation play. Through stories & interactive games, Ubooly’s curiosity is sure to awaken the creativity within your child’s imagination. Ubooly is the hot toy of the season, it’s new to the scene and is on track to sell out this winter! Free updates through Wi-Fi creates ongoing entertainment for kids."
