Ipsy January 2014 Glam Bag Sneak Peeks!

Happy New Year! Here's the first Ipsy post of 2014!
Ipsy is a $10/month beauty subscription that includes beauty products and a different cosmetics bag each month. You can learn more about it and/or sign up here. If you wanna see one of my most favorite glam bags ever, you can read my post here

My January Glam Bag

The theme this month is 19 Reasons

JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #5:

2014 is full of reasons to get gorgeous and tote your all-day essentials in your January Glam Bag!

The bag reveal! What's cool about Ipsy, is that the bag design changes every month, so there's always something for everyone-- I like that. This bag has little "drawings" of different daily essentials and the colors are blue-on-blue (kinda aqua colored, really). I like the design, because it would be easy to know what you're keeping inside of it.

Got a lot of empty makeup bags? These are also great for packing small items in for donations {church emergency supplies, shelters, disaster relief} or you can give them to younger children/friends to use for makeup, craft- or hair accessories. Always find a way to give back; if you have something you don't need, share it with someone else.

The January 2014 Glam Bag looks like a total winner. If you're a new subscriber, know that most of the bags are filled with color makeup products; this bag has a little more skincare/hair care in it, which we all could use in our lives, right? The indoor heat is doing a number on my hair and skin right now (crosses fingers for hair mask, again). Although, looking back over the hints, I see several color products in this bag, as well... Yaby, eye shadow/eye liner, lip color and even a makeup primer. This is a great mixture of products and a great glam bag to start 2014! Can't wait to see photos on Instagram! Happy New Year, Ipsters!

JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #4:

The 2014 adventure begins now! Start it off right with two of these picks in your January Glam Bag!

Awesome, I love when it's "you will get two of these" sneak peeks. I see a few things I know and a few things I'll try to figure out.
  • Willa face wipes. I've had these before--it's a natural brand you can buy at Target and these are great for keeping by your bed in case you forget to take off your makeup before you lie down.
  • Proactiv (possibly wipes?)
  • Alterna product, maybe?
  • I think the bottle on the bottom/middle looks like something from Nourish Organics, but I could be wrong. I'll research this more in a few minutes.
I added the items below on 1/13/14
  • Balm Me Up Organic Sweet Cocoa & Tangy Body Balm
  • Makeup Cleansing Tissue by Absolute!
  • Marula Pure Marula Facial Oil
  • Épicé Purifying Exfoliant
  • Faith Aromatherapy Tahitian Monoi Anti-Aging Sugar Scrub
  • LeeAnni Eco 3 in 1 Revolotion

I'll try to figure more of these out, but I can definitely say that Ipsy delivered for me this month~I really wanted some skincare stuff and here's a ton of it! I'm totally interested in that little brown tub of scrub (that would be a cool name for something "tub of scrub"), and anything that isn't for acne, since I don't need it. Hoping the Ipsy match system sets us up with the right products~it's been working pretty good for me. How about you? Any two items that you want most--facial wipes? creams? scrubs?

JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #3:

Gorgeous for 2014, 24/7! From desk to dinner, your lovely look will last with one of these awesome products.

Wow. That's a lot of stuff in one sneak peek, isn't it.
  • The easiest one is the Benefit Porefessional right on top (own and love), which is primer that you can use with/without makeup. I use this when I'm wearing powder/mineral foundation, too.
  • The blue bottle is Healthy Sexy Hair (I use the conditioner and shampoo)-- I'm guessing this is the leave-in conditioner (I need this).
  • The brush appears to be large, so I'm guessing it's a concealer brush or maybe even a foundation brush (correct me if you have a better idea), especially considering the product in hint 2. Its hard to tell from this angle how wide the brush is.
  • I've tried to read the label on the bottle of "serum?" but I can't figure that one out, yet.
  • Facebook called the white tub as Briogeo don't despair, repair deep conditioning mask-- and I need that, too! Its a more-natural brand, and if you read my hint posts, you know that I'm always into the natural/organic choices, first. I bet it smells amazing, because it has sweet almond oil in it... the more I talk about it, the more I want it.
As the joke of the day goes "I'd love either!" ;) But, I especially want the Healthy Sexy Hair or the Briogeo hair repair mask. What about you?

JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #2:

So many beautiful horizons ahead! Make your 2014 your mostly beautiful year ever with one of these great products.

I like this hint~two of my favorite beauty items, shadow pencils and foundation :)

The item in the middle may be a product from Yaby Cosmetics and I feel that it's possibly a color corrector product instead of a foundation, but that will be a surprise. (full size $13.55)

The two items on the sides appear to be from Elizabeth Mott (I noticed this and then saw someone else already called it, so it looks pretty confirmed). It could be the Smooth Shadow cream pencils, which are blendable and can be used on the waterline. (full size $14.99)

Which one are you hoping for? I'd love to get a shadow pencil, because I go through those pretty quickly. Would you rather have a color corrector (like, something to neutralize redness) or a foundation?

JANUARY 2014 GLAM BAG SNEAK PEEK #1:

Fabulous lips, Fabulous life! One of these lip products will give you a reason to have some adventure this new year!

I'm really, really excited about the Malin+Goetz Mojito lip balm after reading their philosophy/about us page--what a wonderful company. This lip balm is paraben free and the scent is very intriguing, right? I love color makeup, but this is the one that I have my fingers crossed for this time. I think this one is pretty obvious and not so much a guess, but a confirmed product. It appears to be 0.35 oz/10g in the photo, which would be a full-size product.

Ipsy confirmed that the second product (colored makeup) is not from Cailyn. The second product is being guessed as Cailyn Cosmetics (by facebook members), which is a fabulous brand for quality and pigmentation. I don't know if I agree, though, because I don't see any products on their website with a clear lid (unless that's just the bottom half without the top attached to it... that's possible).  If these are the two colors available, they appear to be darker "berry shades"; darker shades make your teeth look whiter ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The January 2014 Ipsy sneak peeks start on Monday, January 6, 2014! See you then!
Just for the sake of writing stuff here while we're not looking at any sneak peeks, I'll tell you what I'm hoping is in the bag this month--skincare items. I'd love to see some pore strips, lotions, potions and cleansers. My complexion could use some tlc, for sure. Oh, lip scrub, too! That counts as skincare. How about your/yours?
Did you love your December bag? I'm really liking the J.Cat Beauty lip crayon that I got~ Caramel Mocha. I can use just a little and it looks so natural, or I can put it on as a full-coverage lipstick~ love it.
So, about that 2013, did you love or hate it?
I'm kinda glad to see 2014, personally.
Happy New Year!!
