I have seen the Simply... Chocolate Chip cookies in the store a few times, but haven't actually bought it, yet... that was until last Saturday. I am always intrigued by new products--or remade products--that contain only natural ingredients. I'm happy that a lot of companies are beginning to see that consumers prefer more natural products & are making an effort to recreate some of their best-selling products in a new, natural variety. :)
The Pillsbury Simply... Chocolate Chip cookies contain :
No artificial flavorsNo artificial colors
No artificial preservatives
No high fructose corn syrup
The Front of the Package
I love the clean design: the white background, the photo of just one cookie & the easy-to-read label. It was actually the white packaging that caught my attention, because I love clean designs. Pillsbury makes many great products that I have loved since I was a child; the Simply... Chocolate Chip cookies now joins the ranks of "favorites" in our household.
The Cookies Before
I was SO happy when I opened the package and saw how large these cookies are! They are perfectly round and easy to remove from the package. I cooked them on a Rachael Ray pan, because it's nonstick. This isn't a cookie sheet, so they baked up a little darker. Also, having distractions caused them to cook a few minutes longer, too ;)
Really good cookies :)
If you've been thinking about buying these cookies, you should definitely try them out! I highly recommend them. I plan to buy some on sale & put them in the freezer. There's also a Simply... Peanut Butter Cookie variety. You can check it out on their site at http://www.pillsbury.com/products/cookies/simply-cookies
The Simply... Biscuits are good, too
When Pillsbury first launched the Simply... options of their products, I was STOKED. Let me explain--I bought 5 cans of Simply... biscuits the first week that I saw them. My brother was visiting us and he loves biscuits, so this was a great time to test them out ;) I cooked the Simply... biscuits and added a little homemade garlic butter (I mixed it up, I'm not a butter churner) and everyone ate them up! Even my son-- who's going through a phase of disliking every meal he's offered--ate one of them. So, a big thumbs up, high five to Pillsbury for their Simply... line of products--they truly do impress guests and picky 4-year-olds :)
*This is a personal post. I bought these cookies & I may have eaten more than one of them... A lady never tells how many cookies she's had--especially, when she's on a diet ;)
Picking some of these up today :D
