Simple Solutions for "Mom Hair."

I wanna hear about your favorite hairstyle. Are you guilty of putting your hair into a bun or a ponytail more often than not, just to save yourself some time getting ready each morning? I do this all the time. In fact, I only wear my hair down when I'm going somewhere and even my little boy and my dogs know this (haha). If mommy's hair is down, you better get your jacket, because we're about to leave the house. :)

There are so many expensive products that are supposedly "holy grail" answers to your hair concerns, but did you know that Dove Hair Care--available at Walmart--can help with everything from frizzy hair to creating a beautiful fishtail braid (instead of that mom bun you're wearing right now). There's even styling videos and tips available on Walmart's site. At the end of the video there's a coupon for $1.50 off of any one Dove Hair Care item! That will definitely help us get started on our new, stylish hair 'dos for the New Year, New Hairstyle resolution we may be considering as the new year approaches.

I got a Dove gift set for Christmas this year! :)

What's your favorite go-to hairstyle? Tell me all about it.

I'm a huge supporter of the Pony+Headband, myself; gotta keep all of those hairs in place and outta my face. ;)

I wish I could do something cute with "mom" hair. A simple ponytail is all I got!

  2. Ponytails are excellent time-savers~I'm a fan lol. I keep working on waterfall braids, because I'm so in love with them. Wintertime makes it easier to try new styles, because we don't have to worry about all of that humidity :)

I'll have to look into water fall braids. I've never heard of them. Being black, I don't experiment as much with different braids, but I guess I could.

  4. They're gorgeous! I think it'd be easier to do someone else's hair and have them do yours (in the perfect world, right?), but I'm sure a little practice would help build the skill. Something that I own and love is braided hairbands. I saw them in the hairbrush/hair bow section and bought one and it makes a regular ponytail look like you went the extra step lol, or you can use it as a headband and it looks like a braid across the top of your head (holding your hair back). I'm all for shortcuts and I love braids. My grandma always braided my hair when I was little; I really, really miss that. She could do works of art in my hair--with ribbons and everything. I heart my "Nanny" (grandmother).

  5. I love ponytails as they are easy to tie, this is embarrassing but i can't make my hair into a neat bun at all, i have tried to follow youtube videos but nope.

  6. Same. Ponytails are a great way to show off healthy hair, as well. If your hair won't make a neat bun, you could always make a messy bun :) Videos are such a helpful resource for hairstyles and beauty tips~love them! =)
