Birchbox Man Review June 2012

Birchbox Man is a new monthly subscription that costs $20/month. It's, of course, part of Birchbox.com and has all of the same great perks as the women's subscription, except it's entirely tailored to men!

Some of the really cool perks of the Birchbox Man subscription are:

• The box is larger, so that it can hold more products. The box is so awesome, they really should start putting the women's products in one like the Birchbox Man box. This box is actually a small storage drawer--like you'd purchase in a store. It's made of the same material as a Birchbox, but it's accented in blue & the drawer slides out. Upcycle!
• The inclusion of more valuable lifestyle items--socks, watches, playing cards, & gourmet popcorn.
• Earn points for doing the tiny feedback survey on Birchbox.com under the "Box" tab. Use those points to purchase future products at a discount or even for free! (the points accumulate & work as store credit)
• Earn referral bonuses for referring friends, neighbors, relatives or strangers ;)
• Try different products to find the ones that are right for you. There are so, so many products on the market, that you are probably unaware of most of them... seriously, how many men eagerly await new product launches and rave about the benefits of their skincare routine? Yeah, well, that's why they need exposure to products that can help them look their best--manly shampoos, deodorants, face scrubs, sunscreens and lifestyle products. 
• Not to overlook this little fact--everyone loves to get packages in the mail :)

See how the drawer slides out?! A lot of people really like this feature of the box. It also comes with black tissue paper.

The little package is wrapped up in green paper and sealed with a Birchbox sticker. The watch is protected by two layers of bubble wrap.

This is a trial-size bottle of Anthony Logistics for Men Glycolic Facial Cleanser. It contains aloe vera, vitamins A, C & E to nourish your delicate skin. It also contains glycolic acid, which helps reduce the signs of aging (like, fine lines).  Another great natural ingredient in this formula is Calendula, which has healing properties. 

This watch is so innovative & unique! It is actually a "cashless payment" watch. You can load your credit card information onto it & use it to pay for purchases at participating retailers. It also holds your emergency information (your name, address, emergency phone number). 

The regular watch aspects that are equally cool: It's water resistant, a stopwatch, an alarm, it's digital and sporty. 

 They sent an email saying to expect a larger bottle of the Kerastase Homme Capital Force shampoo in the mail by June 1st :) So, that makes the packet a bonus :)

There's a vial in the John Varvatos USA packet :) Cool for using on-the-go.

It says "Shave Cream," but it actually came with Anthony Logistics for Men Glycolic Face Wash. Comparable products, so that mistake was really no biggie. 

I Really Love This Card! Bob Dylan, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Beethoven & more... Yeah, I'd like to have Johnny Cash's desert island albums, too :) I'd have to add a Johnny Cash album to mine, though ;)
